Michèle Tomasino

Michele Tomasino is a high school Teacher and Vice Principal going into her ninth year at Mangilaluk School in Tuktoyaktuk. She has lived and worked in the Beaufort-Delta region on and off since 1988. She originally came to the Canadian north as a news reporter for the CBC and became a teacher a decade later. As part of her work at Mangilaluk School, Michele has contributed to many community projects and been a liaison between the school and the community for projects dealing with the environment and climate change as well as being a partner in Tuk TV, a community project that produces films on the effects of climate change in Tuktoyaktuk.
