Rita Henderson
Collaborator, University of Calgary
Rita is a social scientist by training and faculty researcher in the Departments of Family Medicine and Community Health Sciences in the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine. Her work seeks to promote Indigenous primary healthcare innovation through community-based opportunities for disease prevention, early screening and management, and health promotion in close proximity to where people live, work, and play. She enjoys using systems analysis to build, evaluate, and adapt multi-disciplinary, multi-sited, cross-sector and community-partnered health initiatives for new models of disease surveillance and healthcare delivery.
