Vicky Peck

Principal Investigator, British Antarctic Survey

Victoria is based at the British Antarctic Survey. Her background is in geology and she specialises in reconstructing past climates from seafloor sediments. More recently her research has focussed on the more immediate impacts of climate change in the Polar Regions. In the Arctic she has studied the impact of ocean acidification and within this project she is working on monitoring the prevalence of particulate contaminants (microplastics, paint chippings, residues etc) associated with shipping activities in waters throughout Inuit Nunangat.
